3rd SEPT- Learn to Draw People – simple proportions, gestures, then ink & watercolour portraits.

10th SEPT-Let’s Draw Trees – different tree forms, bark textures, and imaginative tree formations.

17th SEPT-Whimsical Characters – bring playful characters to life with mixed media.

24th SEPT- Underwater Worlds – coral, sea life, and flowing watercolour effects.

Benefits

Restores confidence in drawing, soothes creative cravings, improves perspective (literally & figuratively).

Side Effects

Increased sketchbook use, spontaneous colour mixing, and daydreaming about faraway places.

EQUIPMENT LIST

  • HB and 2B pencils

  • Sharpener

  • Eraser

  • Watercolour round brushes small size 2, medium size 6, large round size 12, optional flat or mop. Please note these are not acyclic paint brushes (eg Hog hair brushes) . I will bring spares if you don't have any and are not sure what to bring.

  • Watercolour paints palette or tubes with warm and cool variety plus mixing palette. A good brand for tubes is Cotman. 

  • Paper towel four pieces each lesson

  • White pencil

  • Fine size 2 brush not for watercolour use (used for INK) so a watercolour brush that you don't mind getting inky.

  • Two small containers, jar lids or plastic

  • A 0.3 technical pen. Waterproof Artline. I use Pigma Mircon's which you can buy in the shop. But ask me if we are working with ink before the lesson
